This poem was written by a 9 year old, his class assignment was to write a poem on "Science" hope you enjoy it too!

- devi

This is my science poem:I wonder why the grass is green
And why the wind is never seen?
The color is made from chlorophyll
And the wind comes from up the hill.

Who taught the birds to build a nest
And told the trees to take a rest?
I learn about bugs and bees in biology
And the behaviour in physiology

When the moon is not quite round
Where can the missing part be found?
Waxing and Waning explains astronomy
And the Milky Way is our galaxy

Who lights the stars, when they blow out
What makes the lightning flash about?
A shower of gases makes the stars bright
And electricity causes the spectacular sight

Who paints the rainbow in the sky
And hangs the fluffy clouds so high
The colourful spectrum is due to rays of light
And clouds are from condensation at height

Like a child picking pebbles on the sea shore
I gather knowledge with great insparation
What I know is like a drop in the ocean
As science is information galore

Food for thought:

"Regardless of different personal views about science, no credible understanding of the natural world or our human existence…can ignore the basic insights of theories as key as evolution, relativity, and quantum mechanics." - The Dalai Lama
