Hi everyone,

Those of you who have been involved in our quantum physics courses might be interested in an article in yesterday's (10/17) Oregonian, p. B2 ("Scientists push quantum theory closer to reality - Physicists work on experiments that show quantum weirdness isn't only in the world of atoms"). The article highlights recent experiments that make it harder to ignore the implications of the weird quantum world for our everyday conception of reality.

Todd

Food for thought:

"Regardless of different personal views about science, no credible understanding of the natural world or our human existence…can ignore the basic insights of theories as key as evolution, relativity, and quantum mechanics." - The Dalai Lama
