Hi all,
A student in my PSU cosmology class did a project on the question, "How
is the universe presented in science fiction (TV and movies) that the
general public might encounter?" He presented his conclusions in wiki
format on the web, so that others can contribute their thoughts. If
you're interested in the scientific information (or misinformation)
presented in science fiction, you might want to visit his web site and
add your insights to the discussion:

Thanks,
Todd

Food for thought:

"Regardless of different personal views about science, no credible understanding of the natural world or our human existence…can ignore the basic insights of theories as key as evolution, relativity, and quantum mechanics." - The Dalai Lama
