Hi everyone,
Those of you who have been involved in our quantum physics workshops (and others teaching or learning the subject) might be interested in some excellent virtual quantum mechanics labs on the web at:
http://phys.educ.ksu.edu/

In particular there's a double slit diffraction lab that lets you experiment with different kinds of particles and different arrangements
of the experiment we talked about in class, to see how the interference pattern builds up on the screen.

They require a Shockwave plug-in, but if it's not already on your system you'll be directed to a free download of the plug-in. I've only verified that the labs work well in Mac OS X with Internet Explorer 5.1, but I suspect they'll run fine in most standard browsers on recent versions of Windows and Linux/Unix.
