The scientific concepts are so recent, that most people and the culture have not been able to incorporate them. Most people do not know that these ideas are so recent nor their consequences. There is the confusion between the word Theory and whether it is a fact. Theories describe what are facts. Theories are the best description of how to interpret the facts. Gravity is a theory. Newton had the best description of gravity until Einstein. Einstein's description of gravity is just more complete than Newton's. Einstein's description did not invalidate Newton's, the description of gravity became more complete.
